Last year at ICCF-21 in Fort Collins about 8 of us got together and created a small group to discuss various theories involving the structure of the atom.  The group has been called the 'Ad Hoc Group' (AHG) and has been communicating via email.  The group has grown to about 20 people.

On the first morning of the conference I expressed to Bill Collis (president of the ISCMNS and conference organizer) that it would be good to have another meeting and to get more people on board.  Bill responded he would find a room and since it during socaial hour he'd arrange for some wine and glasses.  Then he said "And you get to chair it"  (Lesson learned, ask Bill a question and expect an assignment).

One issue I wanted to bring up was to move communications from email to a forum.  Email is problematic in that it is hard to search, people use old email lists to send out emails, it doesn't easily allow for discussions to be organized into subjects, and newcomers have no access to history.  Alan Smith volunteered to set up a group on the existing LENR forum.  This forum already has 3000 users within the LENR community.

We then discussed what to name the group.  The idea of naming it in memory of Norman Cook was considered but it was determined this name did not describe the purpose of the group.  Several names were considered and the name "Nuclear Structure Research Group" was put forth.

Purpose of the NSRG Forum

The forum is a private place for participants to share and discuss their theories.

Many of us have our own websites but we have few visitors.  You can use the forum to drive people to your website.  Post an article in the forum describing something on your website and then link to it.  We need a central place where all of us can share our theories and ideas.

How to Join the NSRG

The NSRG group has been added to the LENR forum.  This is a secure and troll-free private space for discussion, document sharing and more. All the usual forum benefits of simple archiving and a search function etc will be available. NSRG members will be able to see all the public posts in the whole forum, but their own posts in the NSRG space will be invisible to non-NSRG members.

Joining this new group is a simple process, but for security reasons is a 2-step process. If by chance you happen to be a member of LENR-Forum already then you need a simple permission upgrade. If you are not a member already then go to http://www.lenr-forum.com/  and register as a member.

In either case you will see the menu above the screen contains an item called 'Conversations' clock on that and create a conversation with 'Alan Smith - if you type that name into the 'participants' box the software will create an alert for Alan who will  upgrade your permissions - which in turn enables you to see the link to the NSRG on the LHS of the Home page and join the discussions there. In case of a problem, email Alan directly at <lubetkin1934@yahoo.co.uk>.
