The Domus Pacis Hotel where we stayed is the brown building to the right.  The Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli is to the left.  The train station is beyond the green space behind the Basilica.

In the background on the hill is the Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi - this is one of the most important pilgrimages for Christians in Italy.

The 22nd International Conference on Cold Fusion was held from Sept 8-13, 2019 in Assisi Italy.  This conference drew over 150 physicists, experimenters and enthusiasts from all over the world.  They came from Italy, France, Russia, Sweden, United States, Japan, China, Australia, Eastern Europe and more.  Many of these people have been attending this conference since it started over 30 years ago.

This years conference spent a lot of time discussing the transmutation of elements.  They are finding heavier elements that are not expected such as ????? and ?????.  This implies that nuclear fission may be occurring.  In addition there were several interesting presentations on transmutations in geology and biology.  If we are to understand how to do our own LENR reactions than it is wise we explore how nature is already doing it.

What is Happening in LENR Experiments?

Many people spoke about how they still don't understand what is happening in LENR experiments.  They aren't even sure if the Palladium - Heavy water cell was doing fusion or fission.  These experiments have produced heavy elements such as ????? and ?????.  Is it possible what is happening is not cold fusion but instead cold fission or possibly both?

There were 4 presentations on theories about the structure of the atom.  Two of them were purely mathematical and really didn't discuss structure.  Nancy Bowen presented a theory based on connections between the quarks within the nucleons.  Her theory didn't attempt to answer chemistry.

Edo presented on SAMThis  that are found in their LENR experiments and in biology and geology. .  There was a lot of evidence presented that heavier elements are being created in LENR experiments.  There were also many speakers talking about transmutations in both biology and geology.

The Origins of Cold Fusion

In 1989 reknowned electro-chemists from the Univerisity of Utah, Stanley Pons and Martin Fleischmann, announced they had achieved Cold Fusion at room temperature on a table top.

This sent the physics community into a frenzy and they immediately claimed Cold Fusion is impossible, it violates our known physics.  They said Pons and Fleischmann didn't stir their cell correctly, or they made a mistake, or they are charlatans.  Some physicists read up on electro-chemistry and attempted to replicate the experiment from photographs.  Most experiments failed, a few succeeded but weren't understood.  None of them could be replicated easily.  Cold Fusion became known as pseudo-science.  The funding dried up and it became impossible to publish anything about cold fusion in a science journal.

However many scientists around the world haven't given up.  There is a lot of proof that excess heat is being created. The ICCF conference has been the official conference of this community.
